This course has been designed to build capacities of
the rural youth to be able to work for a cluster of
villages over several years. Our experience in
training and working with Bare foot N.R.M managers
has shown that this provides sustained inputs to
villages beyond the project phase by such youth.
Secondly because these youth belong to the area the
quality of interaction with people is much better
and the quality of plans developed and execution are
far superior. It also gives rural youth and the
village as a whole a sense of dignity and enthusiasm
to take the development efforts forward with a long
term perspective. The course is designed with
minimal reading and writing and instead focuses much
more on interactive learning using lots of local
terminology to make the candidate feel comfortable.
Most of course is designed to generate outputs on
maps.
Expected Outcome
This 45 days course should be considered a
foundation course to build confidence of rural
youth. The candidate will develop a basic
